León Chiprout
Superficially Profound · Release campaigns, ads and website · 2026
Mexico City guitarist and composer León Chiprout, former guitarist of Aleks Syntek y La Gente Normal, is releasing his first solo album, Superficially Profound, one single at a time. Monart runs the whole release: the website, a campaign for each single, the content and the ads.
What we did
- Artist website: leonchiprout.com, designed and built by Monart, with a page for each single
- Release campaign for each single: content calendar, storytelling reels and interviews subtitled in English
- Meta Ads sending listeners to Spotify and Apple Music
- Newsletters and Spotify editorial pitching
His story
León Chiprout first made his name as the guitarist of Aleks Syntek y La Gente Normal: a Gold Record for their second album, an opening slot for Duran Duran, a session with Ray Manzarek of The Doors. He then founded Los Fulanos and signed with EMI Capitol for an album produced by Phil Manzanera of Roxy Music.
In the late 1990s he walked away from music and spent more than twenty years behind the camera, as a photographer and cinematographer. He came back through the piano. In his words: “The piano opened a creative universe the guitar never could.”
Superficially Profound brings together Phil Manzanera on guitar, Luis Conte on percussion, Tim Armacost on saxophone and Sabo Romo on bass. It comes out one single at a time, leading to the full album.
The website
We designed and built leonchiprout.com, León’s home for the whole album. Each single gets its own page with the story of the song, the musicians and a link to every platform. The album page grows with each release, and the biography tells his story in his own words.

Chord Shapes feat. Luis Conte
First single · August 21, 2026 · Listen
León wrote it the day he sat down at a new piano for the first time in over twenty years. Luis Conte (James Taylor, Pat Metheny) plays percussion, with Alan Fajardo on trumpet, Diana Dultzin on voice, Victor Morales on piano and Gilberto Castillo on drums.
Social media & Ads
The first single had to introduce León. We built the campaign on his story: interview reels subtitled in English, one with archive footage from La Gente Normal, the musicians of the track and a pre-save teaser. Meta Ads then took the single to Mexico, Latin America, Europe and English-speaking markets.
Meta Ads, August 24 to September 20, 2026

Runaway feat. Sabo Romo
Second single · October 9, 2026 · Listen
León wrote it right after listening to Wayne Shorter’s Speak No Evil: a cello melody, a rhythmic string section, like a chase on a mountain road in the sixties, then a brass band bridge. He had already recorded the bass, but something was missing, so he called Sabo Romo of Caifanes, his musical partner of three decades. With Alan Fajardo on trumpet, Jonathan Lewis on violin and viola and Ricardo “Kitti” Erdos on drums.
Social media & Ads
For Runaway the story was the friendship: the release date announcement, Sabo Romo recording the bass, and how León and Sabo met, subtitled in English. From release day, cuts of the music video ran as ads, each matched to a platform and a territory.
