SARÃB – Qawalebese tape Live session Studio Ferber
Since her eponymous debut album released in 2019, Sarab has continued to open up the vast kaleidoscopic range of her inspired, vibrant, powerfully generous universe! With “Arwah Hurra” (2021), their second opus, they have confirmed the originality and energy of their “Arab jazz-rock”.
The brainchild of French-Syrian singer Baptiste Ferrandis and guitarist Climène Zarkan, Sarab – Arabic for ‘mirage’ – is a masterful blend of rock, modern jazz and Arab sounds. After more than a hundred concerts in Europe and around the Mediterranean, Sarab is evolving and reinventing his world.
The group is back today with ‘Qawalebese Tape’, an EP recorded and filmed at the end of the year in the Ferber studio, the fruit of a fusion between contemporary music and a fertile immersion in a world of age-old traditions.
