On Friday 3 December 2021, pianist Jean-Michel Pilc played the Sunset Sunside in Paris with François Moutin on double bass and Louis Moutin on drums, the only Paris concert of the tour.
Forty years of friendship
Jean-Michel Pilc, François and Louis Moutin met forty years ago. Over the years they played in each other’s projects: Jean-Michel often played in the Moutin brothers’ band, and François was the bassist of the internationally known Pilc Moutin Hoenig trio. Together they built a vocabulary of their own.
What came next
A few months later, in March 2022, Jean-Michel Pilc released Alive · Live at Dièse Onze, Montréal on Justin Time Records.
